This lake is so wonderful. There is a magnificent hiking trail right next door to Ostrander Lake called the Buena Vista Trail, and Chilnualna Lakes is a nearby lake that you could stop at. If you want a brilliant time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Central Sierra Nevada.       If you need a site to stay Yosemite Lodge at the Falls is a great choice. There's so much to do here at Ostrander Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Bridalveil Campground is a splendid spot for that. Dry warm beds await you at dnc -- Wawona Hotel, and Yosemite National Park is a good local destination. Summertime highs at Ostrander Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. For the period of the winter                  this place gets highs in the 40's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Ostrander Lake temperatures fall to the 20's. This place is peerless, just check out all the exciting stuff to do close to Ostrander Lake. Near Ostrander Lake you find the Panorama Trail which is a delightful hiking trail, and Ostrander Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Upper Pines Campground is a brilliant local campground. While you're here at Ostrander Lake, you could also explore scenic Hart Lakes; a day on the slopes of Badger Pass is just what you need. The Central Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. If you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Big Creek. Yep, outdoors exciting stuff truly is abundant here in the Central Sierra Nevada.
