Osma Lake is a beautiful lake in the Northern Sierra Nevada. The amount of precipitation that falls at Osma Lake is close to the national average; January is when you get the most snow here, and July is the month with the least moisture. Near Osma Lake you find the Hawley Grade Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail, and from Osma Lake you acquire a nice sight of Cracked Crag. This lake is so wonderful.       Stay the night at Sayles Flat Campground, and hey, Pyramid Creek is a great local stream. Be careful coming to Osma Lake, you might not ever wanna return home again. Near Osma Lake you locate Rocky Canyon which is a great site to visit, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Kirkwood. And that's not everything you can do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Desolation Valley is a stunning site any time of year; after a long day outdoors                  Pine Cone Acre Motel is a good place to spend a night or two. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Osma Lake. Osma Lake is a brilliant spot to visit for more than one day, Lovers Leap Campground is a brilliant spot to camp nearby; get your pulse rate up on the brilliant whitewater of American River - South Fork. Just can't get enough of the Northern Sierra Nevada. Osma Lake is not far at all from Gardnerville Ranchos. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Ropi Lake is close to Osma Lake, and great skiing awaits you at Sierra at Tahoe. If you need a place to stay Harvest Inn-St Helena, Napa Valley is a delightful choice; going for a hike on the Windmiller Trail is always a fine adventure. A nice place for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Osma Lake is Silver Creek - South Fork, and there are glorious places to explore along the Red Peak Trail. So much enjoyable stuff in the Northern Sierra Nevada, just inspiring. You could also go to Toem Lake while you're here at Osma Lake; it's nearby, and do put some time aside to spend at Horsetail Falls if you're here at Osma Lake. Summertime at Osma Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's while overnight lows are commonly in the 40's.
