If you like lakes and you're in this part of California you can check out Osma Lake. Near Osma Lake you hit upon the Red Peak Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail, and if you need a location to stay Royal Inn is a perfect choice. Osma Lake is one of the lakes here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Paddling on Silver Creek - South Fork is so much fun, and you can hit the slopes at Sierra at Tahoe close by.

| | uncomplicated. While you're here at Osma Lake it's a great idea to pop by Desolation Valley; there is a wonderful hiking trail nearby called the Windmiller Trail. Osma Lake in fact is in the middle of a scenic outdoors paradise. You get a good sight of Cracked Crag from Osma Lake, and at Osma Lake you always meet someone from Gardnerville Ranchos. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Osma Lake, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. | |

High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Osma Lake.
Whitewater paddling is delightful on American River - South Fork, and a short tour to Horsetail Falls is
always worthwhile. But wait, there's more cool stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Osma Lake is a good spot of typical rain; January is the month that gets the most snow; July is when it's the driest.
This lake is so wonderful.
Why not camp at Sayles Flat Campground while you're here at Osma Lake, and the Hawley Grade Trail is a wonderful hiking trail close by. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors amusing things the Northern Sierra Nevada has to
offer. A pleasant place to take a look at near Osma Lake is Rocky Canyon; a fine nearby hotel is Fantasy Inn And Wedding Chapel. What a place this is for outdoors people. Camping is available at Lovers Leap Campground; a pretty lake
like American Lake is a nice location to stop by.
This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Kirkwood, and a quick journey to Pyramid Creek is undeniably a magnificent idea.
