Through the summertime months at Onion Valley Reservoir highs are generally in the 80's, and the overnight is a bit chillier of course, regularly in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and night lows at Onion Valley Reservoir all through the winter ordinarily drop into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Duck Soup Pond is a nearby lake that you could take a look at; Onion       Valley Reservoir is right by the Finger Board Trail. If you came to camp Boulder Creek - Plumas National Forest is a tremendous place to do that, and a tremendous close by hotel is Chalet View Lodge. So much enjoyable stuff to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada, too tremendous to be true. Have a great hiking adventure along the Cleghorn Bar Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Feather River - Middle                  Fork. So many fun things close to Onion Valley Reservoir, clearly unbelievable. There's whitewater on Lavezzola Creek for all you thrill seekers; don’t forget to have a look at Sawpit Flat since you're here at Onion Valley Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Onion Valley Reservoir gets a typical amount of precipitation; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow; July is when it's the driest. There's so much to do here at Onion Valley Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Big Cove - Plumas National Forest is a good spot for that; do take a hike on the Claremont Trail. All year is a great time in the Northern Sierra Nevada if you like the outdoors.
