There's so much to do here at Onion Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Bluff Creek Campground is a glorious spot for that, and if the weather is delightful, you obtain a splendid sight of Blue Creek Mountain from Onion Lake. Onion Lake is a beautiful lake in the Coast Ranges. What a location this is for outdoors folks. Don't leave Onion Lake without first going for a hike along the South Fork Trail, and there       are other places here than Onion Lake, for example Mosquito Lake. The high level of precipitation makes Onion Lake a quite wet location; most of the rain falls through December, and the driest month is July. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Rhododendron Trail, and not far from Onion Lake you'll locate Deer Lick Lake which is a pretty lake. If you need a location to stay Emerald Forest Of Trinidad is a great choice, and going for a hike on the Summit                  Valley Trail is always a great adventure. Having a great time in the Coast Ranges is painless. Everybody loves Laird Meadow, and if you come at the right time of year, Klamath River offers some glorious whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. At Onion Lake through the summertime highs are in the 60's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's while Onion Lake overnight low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 30's. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the Coast Ranges has to offer.
