Upon arrival, you find yourself along a lake which is beautifully cradled against the Crystal mountain range. On a clear day, you can see well into the Sacramento Valley and beyond. Clear days in the valley are few and far between in the summer though. Absolutely beautiful destination for a hike. If the weather is delightful here at Lake Number Three, you can go for a hike along the Highland Trail, and there are some pleasant whitewater spots on American River - South Fork. This lake is so wonderful. Pine Cone Acre Motel is a tremendous spot to get some rest; going for a hike along the Red Peak Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity.       If you come at the right time of year, Silver Creek - South Fork offers some perfect whitewater, and Lake Number Five is a good lake close by. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Granlibakken Lodge and Conference Center is a delightful choice, and hey, Gotta ski right? Sierra at Tahoe is a nice spot to do that. A normal amount of rain falls here at Lake Number Three; January is when you get the most snow here; July meanwhile is the driest                  month. Having a perfect time in the Northern Sierra Nevada is painless. Lakes are such serene spots, why not pop by Lawrence Lake in the vicinity of Lake Number Three; the slopes of Homewood are so inviting noone can resist. Lake Number Three is located in the Northern Sierra Nevada. All through the summer months here at Lake Number Three, high temperatures generally get into the 70's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 40's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 40's, and overnight lows through the winter for Lake Number Three tend to be in the 10's. On a glorious day at Lake Number Three you can take a hike along the Windmiller Trail.
