Custom Search     Lake Number Three     Lake #3 lies a couple of miles inside the Desolation Wilderness Boundary. Upon arrival, you find yourself along a lake which is beautifully cradled against the Crystal mountain range. On a clear day, you can see well into the Sacramento Valley and beyond. Clear days in the valley are few and far between in the summer though. Absolutely beautiful destination for a hike.
