If you are in Placer county it's always a good idea to stop by North Fork Lake. Drift down the rapids of American River - North Fork in a kayak, and you can take a little visit to North Fork Dam if you're here at North Fork Lake. The high level of rain makes North Fork Lake a relatively wet place; January is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is July. Throughout the summertime at North Fork Lake temperatures are typically in the 80's. When

| | the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at North Fork Lake are in the 20's.
This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Halsey Afterbay; if you came to camp Auburn Koa Kampground is a wonderful location to do that. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at North Fork Lake, checking out Lime Rock is a must. | |

But wait, there's more to do in the vicinity of North Fork Lake. If you come at the right time of year, American River - Middle Fork offers some pleasant whitewater, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Golden Key is a brilliant
place to spend a night or two.
This location, the Northern Sierra Nevada, has so much outdoors cool things. Nearby Louisiana Bar is a fine place to go if you're at North Fork Lake. There's so much to do here at North Fork Lake
that you need to camp here for a while, Bowman Mobile Home and Park is a good location for that. So much enjoyable stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada, not enough time. If you're here at North Fork Lake and you like golf, you
can have a look at Black Oak Golf Course, and North Fork Lake is not far at all from Sacramento—Arden-Arcade—Roseville. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Sierra Nevada.
