The beauty of Norris Lake is reason enough to stop by. The landscape around Norris Lake is dominated by the Balls; picturesque scenery and wonderful skiing is what you acquire at Sierra Summit. Sierra Nevada. This is no location for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Don’t forget to take a look at Jackass Meadow if you're here at Norris Lake; hey, Shirley Creek is a great local stream. This lake is so wonderful.
If the weather is fine here at Norris Lake, you can go for a hike along the Clouds Rest Trail, and paddling on Merced River - South Fork is so much fun. The amount of rain that falls at Norris Lake is close to the national average;
January is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is August. This lake is so wonderful. On a perfect day at Norris Lake you can take a hike along the Mono Meadow Trail, and since you're here you can take a hike
along the John Muir Trail - section 2. Throughout the summer months highs here at Norris Lake reach the 90's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Norris Lake.
