Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this location. Float down the rapids of Battle Creek in a kayak, and Mt Lassen/Shingletown KOA is a wonderful campground nearby. Summertime highs at Nora Lake generally tend to be in the 90's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 50's, and night lows all through the winter for Nora Lake tend to be in the 30's. Paddling on Battle Creek       - South Fork is so much fun, and Nora Lake is not the only location nearby, Carobe Lake is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Old Lassen Trail, and a lake close by is Grace Lake. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Heart Lake Twin Meadows Trail, and since you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Red Bluff. So much enjoyable stuff to do here in the Southern Cascade Range, too wonderful to be true. Shingletown Koa Kampground                  is a magnificent local campground. This lake is one of the great places here in the Southern Cascade Range. Man, is there heaps of cool things to do in the Southern Cascade Range. Put some time aside to spend at Brand Spring while you're here at Nora Lake, and why not explore close by Bailey Creek since you're here at Nora Lake.
