Through the long summer days highs here at Nancy Lake get into the 80's, and the overnight is rather colder of course, mostly in the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are frequently in the 40's; after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Nancy Lake sink into the 20's. Nancy Lake ordinarily gets a lot of rain; the month with most of the rain is January while July is the month with       the least amount of precipitation. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Drift down the rapids of Fordyce Creek in a kayak; the skiing at Soda Springs is fine. If the weather is perfect here at Nancy Lake, you can go for a hike along the Long Valley Trail, and there are other sites here than Nancy Lake, for example Fisher Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Yuba River - South Fork is so much fun; on a nice day you can take a hike along the Cherry Point Trail. Plumpjack Squaw Valley Inn is a great place to get some rest; not far from Nancy Lake you'll discover Natalie Lake which is a pretty lake. The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. If you adore the outdoors you'll adore it here in the Northern Sierra Nevada.
