Custom Search     Nancy Lake     Can anyone tell me the origin of the name of this lake, Nancy Lake located near Kingvale, CA.. A lovely little lake about 2 miles from Troy and I-80. Says Andy Near Nancy Lake is a tremendous 5.2-mile-in-length part of whitewater on Yuba River - South Fork, a category IV-V, this is the Kingvale to Cisco Grove portion. Whitewater boaters on this part of Yuba River - South Fork should have quite some skill in kayak paddling. A fine 12-mile-from-start-to-finish     whitewater segment on Fordyce Creek is nearby. This, the Fordyce Lake to Lake Spaulding sector, is a grade IV-V.
