Doc and Al's Robinson Creek Resort
11 miles away
My family and I have been going to Doc and Al's for the past 18 years and love it! You'll find stories like this of families coming back the same week every year for decades is not uncommon here. It's a great place for young and old, couples and families. If you're looking for a nice place to relax and enjoy the outdoors, this is definitely the place! I grew up with vacations along Robinson Creek and on the shores of Twin Lakes, and I plan on taking my kids someday. If you're considering a trip up here, I definitely recommend it!...

We plan on next year making it to the lake and setting up camp....

Cooney Lake

The man Cooney lake was named for was P. J. Cooney. Can any one furnish his first and middle name? He is said to have been a prospector and that he died in the Los Angeles, Ca. area in about 1943. See book ''I caught a fisherman by J. Anita Foster...

Lundy Lake
18 miles away
Since I have gotten a lung disease that makes it difficult to be in higher altitudes, my wife and I haven't been back to  Lundy in a few years.  Lundy is just short of 8,000 feet.  We used to stay a week, and just relax and do  fishing and hiking.  We do miss it, but maybe we'll come back for a short visit.  We'd like to go there for a day during October when it's a lot cooler and less crowds.  I hope the fishing is still great....My wife and I have stayed at Lundy for several years during the summer.  It's a delightful place.  We have rented one of their cabins during that time.  The people who run the resort are great, and will offer advice on fishing, hiking, etc.  I rent a boat to go fishing while my wife enjoys the quiet and reads or knits.  It's a great place to go to unwind from the stress of living in the city.  And, a plus:  The fishing is great!...

Mono Vista RV Park
19 miles away
Park and facilities were VERY clean and provided a peaceful relaxing stay for my family and I. Great location even if you want to visit Yosemite. The drive over the Tioga pass is well worth the hour and a half because of the spectacular scenery. Loved it so much, I reserved a space to tent camp this time! ...
