Murphy Lake is a reasonably wet place generally with a lot of rainfall; January is the wettest month with most snow; July on the other hand is the driest. So much amusing stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada, not sufficient time. If you need a spot to stay Bailey Creek Cottages is a tremendous choice; the Lassen Trail is a glorious hiking       trail close by. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Feather River - North Fork for all you thrill seekers; if you're here you can take a hike along the Yellow Creek Trail. So many amusing things in close proximity to Murphy Lake, definitely fantastic. If you came to camp James Lee Campground is a great site to do that; get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Feather River - North Fork. Murphy Lake is one of the lakes here in the                  Northern Sierra Nevada. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. You'll come across a pretty lake called Oliver Lake near Murphy Lake, and do set aside some time for Murphy Flat if you're here at Murphy Lake. There's so much to do here at Murphy Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Injun Jim Campground is a glorious spot for that, and while you're here, you might as well take a look at Shores Gap. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is delightful, you obtain a perfect panorama of Ben Lomond from Murphy Lake; on a fine day you can take a hike along the Carter Meadow Trail. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Murphy Lake. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 40's.
