This lake is located in the wonderful Sierra Madre. All the outdoors enjoyable things near Murietta Dam will keep you coming back over and over. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Carpinteria Inn, and if you came for an overnight stay Murietta Campground is a good spot to camp. If time allows, Channel Islands National Park is a national park worth visiting, and there's nice hiking along the Monte Arido Trail. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day

Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Carpinteria is a magnificent place to get some rest; Murietta Dam is right by the Rincon Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You might want to pay a visit to Murietta Divide while you're here at Murietta Dam.

Notice that a large rock appears to be loose and or without support. It looks like the rock is supporting the trail above. Someone should take a closer look at that rock. In heavy rain it could come down. It looks unstable.... |
