At Mud Lakes you can spot Brown Mountain, and while you're here you can take a hike along the McKinstry Trail. Dry warm beds await you at Village at Squaw Valley. So many cool things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada, not enough time. Mud Lake is a fine lake in close proximity to Mud Lakes, and you can hit the slopes at Homewood in the neighborhood. Mud Lakes commonly gets       a good deal of rainfall; most of the rain falls during January, and July is when it's the driest. Mud Lakes is a beautiful lake in the Northern Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for some flowing water? Try Ellis Creek; if you came for an overnight stay Pleasant Boat-In Campground is a glorious place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on American River - South Fork for all you adrenaline people, and Alpine Meadows has splendid                  slopes and a friendly staff. Wentworth Springs Campground is a wonderful campground nearby, and there are some tremendous whitewater spots on Silver Creek - South Fork. After a long day outdoors Squaw Valley Lodge is a magnificent place to spend a night or two, and on a magnificent day you can take a hike along the Highland Trail. For the duration of the summertime months highs here at Mud Lakes get into the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are usually in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Mud Lakes. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Northern Sierra Nevada.
