Many people like to go to Mud Lake. All the outdoors entertaining things in the Klamath Mountains will keep you coming back many times. If you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Willits is a wonderful choice. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Mud Lake has to offer, you can camp at Pine Root Spring Campground; unsurprisingly Willow Creek flows through this neighborhood. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Klamath Mountains. Get yourself into

| | a kayak and hit Mad River, and nearby you find the Waterspout Trail which is a nice hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Mud Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hammerhorn Campground is a glorious place for that, and there are great places to discover along the Willow Trail. All through the summer at Mud Lake temperatures are commonly in the 90's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. All through | |

the winter highs are in the 40's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Mud Lake fall into the 30's. From Mud Lake you get a tremendous panorama of Horsehead Mountain; you need to have a look at Tombstone
Rock if you're here. The Klamath Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This place, Mud Lake, it clearly has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. There are some glorious whitewater spots on Eel River - North Fork; going for a
hike on the Yellowjacket Trail is always a good adventure. From a rain point of view Mud Lake is a reasonably common site; January is when you get the most rain here, and July on the other hand is the driest.
