This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Mud Lake without first checking out Tombstone Rock. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Mud Lake; Waterspout Trail is a great local trail, obviously you could also go to Henthorne Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Mud Lake. Hammerhorn Campground is a great campground nearby; the Yellowjacket Trail offers       hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Horsehead Mountain is painless to spot from Mud Lake; Super 8 Motel - Willits is a great site to get some rest. For the duration of the summertime highs here at Mud Lake reach the 90's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 30's for Mud Lake.
