Paddling on Eel River - North Fork is so much fun. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Mud Lake has to offer, you can camp at Hammerhorn Campground. Just can't get enough of Mud Lake. Whitewater paddling is magnificent on Mad River; you're probably interested in lakes, Swan Lake is one of those close by. Be careful coming to the Klamath Mountains,       you might not ever wanna go home again. Getting to Willow Creek from Mud Lake is painless, and the Waterspout Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is one of the great places here in the Klamath Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Willits. Horsehead Mountain can be made out from Mud Lake; you should absolutely have a look at Tombstone Rock while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Mud Lake dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. Mud Lake is a good place of normal rain; the month with most of the rain is January while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
