Beaches are pleasant; and Catfish Beach near Mud Lake is no exception, and in the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Feather River - North Fork. That right there is lots of amusing things already but it goes on, the Northern Sierra Nevada has it all. While you're here at Mud Lake, you could also visit picturesque Lake Almanor, and if       you came for an overnight stay Soldier Meadows Campground is a good site to camp. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing things in the Northern Sierra Nevada. After a long day outdoors Best Western Rose Quartz is a great location to spend a night or two; Leisure Trailer Park is a great local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Bailey Creek Cottages is a good place to get some rest. This place, Mud Lake, it clearly has                  so much outdoors entertaining stuff. Go for a hike on the Lassen Trail, and Feather River - North Fork is a great whitewater spot nearby. The yearly precipitation here at Mud Lake is about average; November is the month that gets the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. Good hiking is available along the Carter Meadow Trail, and do pay a visit to Lassen Volcanic National Park if you're here at Mud Lake. For the duration of the summertime highs here at Mud Lake get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's; after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Mud Lake drop into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. You'll come across a beautiful lake called Rock Lake near Mud Lake, and going for a hike on the Yellow Creek Trail is always a great adventure.
