All year is a good time in the Northern Sierra Nevada if you go for the outdoors. Spend the day on the beach at Catfish Beach since you're here at Mud Lake. There's so much to do here at Mud Lake that       you need to camp here for a while, Leisure Trailer Park is a great place for that. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things in the Northern Sierra Nevada. While you're here at Mud Lake, you could also stop at delightful Rock Lake, and don't leave Mud Lake without first going for a hike along the Lassen Trail. Lake Almanor is a nearby lake that you could have a look at, and you can go for a hike on the Yellow Creek Trail.
