Mud Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Almanor - Lassen National Forest is a wonderful local campground, and you're possibly into lakes, Taylor Lake is one of those nearby. So much cool stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada, not enough time. Whitewater paddling is wonderful on Indian Creek Feather Tributary, and Kettle Rock Spring is a fine local attraction. Mud Lake is a beautiful lake in the Northern       Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Susanville is a great place to spend a night or two, and Wilcox Valley is unquestionably a good location to check out. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Paddling on Feather River - Middle Fork is so much fun. Mud Lake is a good site of normal rainfall; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow; July on the other hand                  is the driest. This is a delightful region for folks who like lakes. Kettle Rock Lake is a lake around here; at Mud Lake you can spot Eisenheimer Peak. There's so much to do here at Mud Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Wheeler Sheep Campground is a magnificent location for that, and Hotel Mt. Lassen is a perfect location to get some rest. At Mud Lake through the long summer days highs are in the 80's, and the night is a tad colder of course, regularly in the 40's.
