    Go to Mud Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. This lake is so wonderful. Near Mud Lake you come across the Early Emigrant and Indian Trail which is a great hiking trail. Yeah, come here to Mud Lake for a magnificent time. After a long day outdoors Topaz Nugget Casino is a pleasant place to spend a night or two, and going for a hike on the Lost Canyon Trail is always a nice adventure. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining  
   stuff in the Central Sierra Nevada. Cloudburst Creek flows through this region; Sonora Bridge Campground is a wonderful campground here.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Sierra Nevada. For the duration of the warm days of summer at Mud Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights
 
               at Mud Lake are in the 20's. At Mud Lake you don’t see much rain; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is July.
Go for a hike on the Corral Valley Trail, and Pickel Meadow is a nice site to check out. If you adore the outdoors you'll adore it here in the Central Sierra Nevada. If you came for an overnight stay Leavitt Meadows Campground is a great location to camp, and in the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on West Walker River. A tour to Mud Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Silver Falls; a magnificent site for whitewater paddling is West Walker River.
This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Topaz Lodge & RV Resort is a good choice, and you're perhaps hooked on lakes, Kirman Lake is one of those close by.
