Camping at West Branch Campground is always a delightful experience; there's great hiking along the Clear Creek National Recreation Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Klamath RV Park, and nearby you find good spots like Twin Valley. All year is a great time in the Klamath Mountains       if you fancy the outdoors. Looking for something near Mud Lake? Raspberry Lake is close by. Soar down the rapids of Trace Creek in a kayak, and lots of people from Grants Pass come here. So much fun stuff to do here in the Klamath Mountains, too great to be true. If you come at the right time of year, Indian Creek Klamath Tributary offers some nice whitewater, and Mud Lake is not the only place close by, Kelly Lake is a close by lake. At Mud Lake through                  the summer months highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 40's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 40's while Mud Lake night low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 30's. Any time is a great time at Mud Lake if you fancy the outdoors. A pleasant journey to Poker Flat is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon, and Oregon Caves National Monument is a great local destination.
