Mud Lake regularly gets a large amount of rain; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain while July is typically the driest month. Camping at West Branch Campground is always a delightful experience; there's great hiking along the Clear Creek National Recreation Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Klamath RV Park, and nearby you find good spots like Twin Valley. All year is a great time in the Klamath Mountains

So much fun stuff to do here in the Klamath Mountains, too great to be true. the summer months highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 40's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 40's while Mud Lake night low temperatures throughout the wintertime
are in the 30's. Any time is a great time at Mud Lake if you fancy the outdoors. A pleasant journey to Poker Flat is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon, and Oregon Caves National Monument is a great local destination. This lake is one of the great places here in the Klamath Mountains.
