It's always fun to stop by Mud Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the great skiing at Bear Valley, and there's splendid hiking along the Charity Valley Trail. Summer at Mud Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 60's with nighttime lows in the 40's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 30's, and overnight lows through the winter for Mud Lake tend to be in the 10's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. This

| | lake is so wonderful. Corral Gulch is near Mud Lake and is a splendid place; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Mokelumne River - North Fork. Mud Lake gets lots of water; during the month of January you get the most snow around here; the driest month of the year is July. of while you're here at Mud Lake, and get your heart pumping on the fine whitewater of Stanislaus River - Middle Fork. Yeah, come up here to the Northern Sierra Nevada for a fine time. Stay the night at Overflow Campground; if
you're here, you could also have a look at delightful Lion Lake. All the outdoors amusing things in the Northern Sierra Nevada will keep you coming back over and over. The top of Sapps Hill is easily spotted from Mud Lake, and the
Pacific Crest Trail - section 13 offers hiking at its best. The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. Really delightful skiing awaits you at Kirkwood; Stanislaus River Campground is a good campground nearby. Good
hiking is available along the Emigrant Trail, and everyone loves Sapps Meadow. There's some flowing water close by, Bear Creek is a stream you can have a look at during your stay, and you'll find a gorgeous lake called Utica Reservoir.
