If you like lakes and you're in this part of California you can check out Mud Lake. So much fun stuff to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada, too brilliant to be true. Don't forget to take a great little tour to Wilderness Creek, and you can never get enough of the fine skiing at Dodge Ridge. High temperatures at Mud Lake all through the days of summer are in the 60's, and the night is fairly chillier of course, regularly in the 40's. Daytime highs through

| | the wintertime are in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Mud Lake. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. All year is a delightful time in the Northern Sierra Nevada if you have a thing about the outdoors. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Mud Lake; Pacific Crest Trail - section 13 is a good local trail; Bear Valley Lodge is a wonderful location to get some rest. is always a pleasant experience; not far from Mud Lake you'll stumble on Elephant Rock Lake which is a pretty lake. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Pine Marten Campground, and the Charity Valley Trail offers hiking
at its best. There are some perfect whitewater spots on Mokelumne River - North Fork; dry warm beds await you at Lodge at Bear Valley. You just have to go for Mud Lake. Skiing at Bear Valley is one of those things you just should
do, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Stanislaus River - Middle Fork. Mud Lake is a wet place that gets a large amount of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is typically
January, that's the one that snows the most while July is generally the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. The vista of Elephant Rock from Mud Lake is striking; there's good hiking along the Emigrant Trail.
