     So much cool stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada, not enough time. Stanislaus River - Middle Fork is a tremendous whitewater spot near Mud Lake, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Charity Valley Trail. This place, Mud Lake, it just has so much outdoors amusing stuff. Lakes are such serene locations, why not pop by Summit Lake close to Mud Lake; you can catch a glimpse of Elephant Rock from Mud Lake. If you came for an overnight  
   stay Silver Valley Campground is a splendid site to camp; going for a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 13 will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region.
If you need a spot to stay The Meadow is a magnificent choice. Really tremendous skiing awaits you at Bear Valley; hiking along the Emigrant Trail is glorious fun. This lake is so wonderful. A stunning lake like Elephant Rock Lake in the vicinity of Mud Lake is a great site to go to;
 
               Pine Marten Campground is a delightful local campground.
Mud Lake is one of the lakes here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Wilderness Creek is a magnificent site to go to, and you can run the rapids of Mokelumne River - North Fork. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at The Mountain Club; there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Dodge Ridge.
Summertime highs at Mud Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 60's, and the nighttime is a bit chillier of course, typically in the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Mud Lake plunge into the 10's. All the water falling down from the sky makes Mud Lake a wet location; the wettest month of the year is commonly January, that's the one that snows the most, and the driest month is July.
