A visit to Mountain Meadow Lake is always a good idea. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Sierra Nevada. That right there is heaps of cool things already but it goes on, the Northern Sierra Nevada has it all. Mountain Meadow Lake is a glorious place to visit for more than one day, Bear Creek Campground is a glorious place to camp nearby, and the slopes of Alpine Meadows are so inviting nobody can resist. | | available along the Granite Chief Trail, and after a long day outdoors Plumpjack Squaw Valley Inn is a glorious place to spend a night or two. There's good hiking along the Painted Rock Trail, and there's whitewater on Yuba River - South Fork for all you thrill seekers. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Mountain Meadow Lake has to offer, you can camp at Splitrock Campground, and Squaw Valley is a good local ski area. | |

You can run the rapids of Truckee River in the neighborhood of Mountain Meadow Lake, and a quick spree to Chief Creek is certainly a brilliant idea. Be careful coming to the Northern Sierra Nevada, you might not ever want to return
home again. Billys Peak is striking and can be seen from Mountain Meadow Lake, and a beautiful lake like Five Lakes is a wonderful spot to have a look at. A great deal of precipitation falls at Mountain Meadow Lake; the wettest month
of the year is frequently January, that's the one that rains the most while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. During the warm days of summer here at Mountain Meadow Lake, high temperatures mostly reach
