Dry warm beds await you at Geary Parkway Motel, and you have to without doubt dedicate some time to Lindley Meadow since you're here at Mountain Lake. A forest right next door to Mountain Lake is George Washington Bicentennial Grove, and a short tour to Huntington Falls is always worthwhile. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Mountain Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Edventure More is a delightful place for that, and Baker Beach

| | is a beach nearby that you can stop by. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Mountain Lake. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 50's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Mountain Lake drop into the 30's. And that's not all you can do here at Mountain Lake. go to, and close by you discover the Ben Johnson Trail which is a splendid hiking trail. There are other places here than Mountain Lake, for example Lily Pond, and if you need a site to stay Stanyan Park is a delightful choice. Beaches
are pleasant; and China Beach right next door to Mountain Lake is no exception. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Mountain Lake has to offer, you can camp at Kirby Cove Campground. This lake is so wonderful. If
you're a golfer then a brilliant nearby course is Presidio Golf Course. The sight of Ignatius Heights from Mountain Lake is beautiful, and there is a splendid hiking trail close by called the Bootjack Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
Not far from Mountain Lake, you'll discover Stow Lake which is a pretty lake, and Anita Rock is also a great spot to discover. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the area near Mountain Lake has to offer.
Taking a little spree to nearby Fort Point is a great idea; this is a popular place for folks from San Francisco-Oakland-Fremont. A lot of rain falls at Mountain Lake; January is the wettest month with most rain, and July on the other
hand is the driest. Lobos Creek is near Mountain Lake and is always a delight to stop by, and going for a hike on the Temelpa Trail is always a good adventure.

Camping Trips
 | I have had the displeasure of staying at a campsite called Coloma Resort on the South Fork of the American River. If you're not a church group or over 65 this place is not for you. We were harassed by the management constantly and were told to go to bed at 10:00pm on a Saturday night. Nothing in their rules said laughing and the Beatles were not allowed. This is the type of place that will tell you what you want to hear just to get your money. The campsite was extremely crowded even the 3rd week of August. My advice is to go else where, anywhere else but here!... |
