Soda Springs is a splendid local ski area, and do go to Jerry Lake, it's a pretty lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Fordyce Creek offers some nice whitewater; a pretty lake like Derry Lake is a nice site to explore. If you need a place to stay The Inn at Truckee is a glorious choice.       This lake is so wonderful. Mossy Pond is a magnificent location to visit for more than one day, Sterling Lake Campground is a magnificent location to camp nearby, and Magonigal Summit is another good place to stop at close by. All through the months of summer, highs frequently are in the 80's at Mossy Pond. All through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are ordinarily in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight                  here at Mossy Pond. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the Northern Sierra Nevada has to offer.
