Summer brings highs in the 80's to Mossy Pond; the overnight is a little colder of course, ordinarily in the 40's. During the winter highs are in the 40's, and night lows at Mossy Pond through the wintertime usually descend into the 20's. There are other spots here than Mossy Pond, for example Jerry Lake, and dry warm beds await you at The Inn At Truckee. This lake is one of       the great places here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. That right there is a lot already, but it continues; Mossy Pond has it all. Really wonderful skiing awaits you at Royal Gorge; Cold Springs Campground is a perfect local campground. This lake is so wonderful. The Lola Montez Trail offers hiking at its best; why not camp at Sterling Lake Campground while you're here at Mossy Pond. This lake is so wonderful. You definitely ought to adore the Northern Sierra Nevada.
