Do stop by Mossy Pond while you're in this part of California. If you came to camp Sterling Lake Campground is a pleasant place to do that. Mossy Pond is not the only location close by, Lower Lola Montez Lake is a close by lake, and you can have a perfect hiking adventure along the Loch Leven Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Mossy Pond is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Cold Springs Campground is a wonderful local campground; if you need a site to stay The Inn At Truckee is a good choice. Hit the slopes at Soda Springs around here; a great place close by is Magonigal Summit. Mossy Pond in fact is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. Mossy Pond is a wet site that gets lots of precipitation; most of the rain falls through January, and the driest month is July. Mossy Pond is one of the lakes here
in the Northern Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. Visit North Creek if you're here at Mossy Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Truckee, Ca.
