Morris Reservoir is a nice lake to visit. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the Northern Sierra Nevada has to offer. Yuba River - Middle Fork has a splendid whitewater paddling spot close by, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites GOLD MINERS INN-GRASS VALLEY is a great location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent location to camp here at Morris Reservoir is Moonshine Campground, and since you're here at Morris

| | Reservoir, checking out Granite Point is a must. A glorious nearby hotel is Holiday Lodge Grass Valley; obviously Clear Creek flows through this vicinity. Morris Reservoir frequently gets a good deal of rainfall; through January this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is July. high temperatures commonly reach the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. During the winter the highs are frequently in the 40's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Morris Reservoir

Sierra Nevada is great! A lake nearby is New Bullards Bar Reservoir, and paddling on Yuba River - North Fork is so much fun. Having a perfect time at Morris Reservoir is painless. Taking a little tour to nearby Klensendorf Point is
a nice idea; a splendid site to stop at is Marys Ravine. Morris Reservoir is located in the Northern Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. Pine Grove Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could visit, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Humbug Trail.

East Meadows Campground - Tahoe National Forest
 | East Meadows has been a favorite since my first trip. The area is full of natural attractions. A favorite is to go sit in the small waterfalls just a short hike from the campsite. Beaware that because of the elevation, the campground does not open Memorial Day like most (although they will let you make reservations during that weekend), it's usually still covered in snow until the middle of June. However, once you get there you will see what a couple extra weeks of snow will bring in beauty to the surroundings.... |
Forbes Creek Rocky Ridge - Tahoe National Forest
 | The best place to have a family reunion!!! We have made a tradition of it! Every year same place same time! LOVE IT! It has a lake near by and penty of bbq pits for the whole camping group whether its 10 of 50! The community campfire and dinnig area makes a great place to catch up with everyone.
