Morris Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Through the warmest time of the year highs here at Morris Reservoir get into the 80's; the night is fairly colder of course, ordinarily in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Morris Reservoir temperatures dip to the 20's. If you want       a delightful time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Northern Sierra Nevada. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Yuba River - Middle Fork, and why not take a little trip to Clear Creek while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Near Morris Reservoir you come across the Humbug Trail which is a nice hiking trail; Granite Point is a great place to pop by while in the vicinity. A great nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites GOLD MINERS                  INN-GRASS VALLEY, and going for a hike on the Halls Ranch Trail is always a splendid adventure. Morris Reservoir is a delightful location to visit for more than one day, Moonshine Campground is a delightful location to camp nearby, and Klensendorf Point is in close proximity and always great to stop by. Yep, outdoors amusing things truly is bountiful here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. There is a glorious hiking trail near Morris Reservoir called the South Yuba Trail, and you might also want to pay a visit to Marys Ravine while you're here at Morris Reservoir. Morris Reservoir is a quite wet place mostly with a great deal of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is January while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
