You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun stuff the area right next door to Morena Reservoir has to offer. On a great day at Morena Reservoir you can take a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 1; Ayres Inn Alpine is a fine place to get some rest. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Morena Reservoir. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. For the period       of the winter this place gets highs in the 60's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Morena Reservoir descend into the 40's. So many exciting things to do in the Santa Rosa Mountains, not sufficient time. Dry warm beds await you at Villa De Valor - Hildreth House, Circa 1898, and camping at Morena Reservoir is brilliant fun, Twin Lakes Resorts is a brilliant local campground. Morena Reservoir is pretty dried out usually; March is the wettest                  month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is July. There's always Morena Dam to pop by in the neighborhood of Morena Reservoir, and the view of Morena Butte is stunning. The Santa Rosa Mountains scenery is always beautiful. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Santa Rosa Mountains. There is a fine hiking trail in the neighborhood of Morena Reservoir called the Corte Madera Trail, and a pleasant place like Bronco Flats here at Morena Reservoir is too great to miss. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous place next to Morena Reservoir is Morena Valley, and why not camp at Lake Morena RV Park since you're here at Morena Reservoir. The Pine Creek Trail is a magnificent hiking trail close to Morena Reservoir; getting to Hauser Creek from Morena Reservoir is easy.   Ayres Inn Alpine, Alpine 18 miles away 20 miles east of San Diego.
