If you came for an overnight stay Upper Chiquito Campground is a splendid place to camp. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water nearby, Fernandez Creek is a stream you can stop by during your stay, naturally you could also go to Rainbow Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. Yeah, come up here to the Central Sierra Nevada for a great time. Camping is available at Bowler

| | Group Campground, and Monument Lake is right by the John Muir Trail - section 1. If you haven’t been to Yosemite National Park, you should schedule some time for it since you're here, and a lake close by is Flat Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, San Joaquin River - Middle Fork offers some good whitewater, and if you need a site to stay dnc -- Wawona Hotel is a perfect choice. All through the months of summer at Monument | |

Lake highs are ordinarily in the 90's, and the night is somewhat colder of course, ordinarily in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Monument Lake descend
into the 20's. One of the main marks of the surroundings of Monument Lake is Gale Peak, and do take a hike on the Half Dome Trail. Be careful coming to the Central Sierra Nevada, you might not ever wanna return back home again. There
are some pleasant whitewater spots on Merced River - South Fork; after a long day outdoors The Ahwahnee is a good spot to spend a night or two. From a rainfall point of view Monument Lake is a pretty typical site; January is when
you get the most rain here while August is typically the driest month. Yep, outdoors cool things to do are in fact abundant here at Monument Lake. Fernandez Pass is a great place to stop at nearby; the Clouds Rest Trail offers hiking at its best.
