San Jacinto State Park is a perfect local campground. Lakes? Sure, Hole Lake is close at hand; skiing at Mt. Baldy is one of those things you just should do. Mockingbird Reservoir is a pleasant spot to visit for more than one day, Salton Sea State Recreation Area is       a pleasant spot to camp nearby, and going for a hike on the Coldwater Trail is always a pleasant adventure. Through the summer months at Mockingbird Reservoir temperatures are commonly in the 90's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 60's while the cold winter nights at Mockingbird Reservoir are in the 40's.
