Lyons Reservoir
 | 18 miles away Saw a rattlesnake on the track leading to the reservoir....I was up there two weeks ago- 10-18-09,came in the back way(dirt road) and there were fish feeding up at the surface but did not have a pole so could not try my hand. Looked promising though- going back this weekend....Go to the back side by where the river runs in... MURDER the trout on that end. Yes they do stock but it depends on what side of the lake you go to. If you have a 4x4 and a forest service map you can get to the good spots....Absolutely beautiful view, but there are thousands of mosquitoes, bring bug spray... |

Body surfing over the falls is thinkable only in high volume waterflow (spring months), since the sharp ledge below the falls will split your skull open after August/ Sept. Be careful! NO GLASS pack your trash! JB... |
