If you are in Ventura county it's always a good idea to stop by Mirror Lake. And if that's not sufficient, there's a lot more to do right next door to Mirror Lake. But wait, there's more exciting stuff to do in the Sierra Madre. There are other places here than Mirror Lake, for example Lake Casitas, and the Pratt Trail offers hiking at its best. Having a great time in the Sierra Madre is simple. Devils Gulch is a good location to stretch your legs a bit, and hiking
is a popular thing to do around Mirror Lake; Foothill Trail is a great local trail.
If only every location had this much outdoors entertaining stuff, what a great globe it would be. There's great hiking along the Cozy Dell Trail, and a golf course close by is Ojai Valley Inn and Spa Golf Course. If you come at the right time of year, Sespe Creek offers some fine whitewater, and if you need a location to stay Oakridge Inn is a wonderful choice. From a rainfall

point of view Mirror Lake is a pretty typical spot; during the month of February you get the most rain around here while July is commonly the driest month.
A fine site near Mirror Lake is Lion Canyon, and Mirror Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Camp Comfort Park is a good local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Matilija Lake is in close proximity; Krotona Hill can be seen from Mirror Lake. Channel Islands National Park is a perfect local destination here at Mirror Lake; you'll meet a lot of people from Oxnard-Thousand Oaks-Ventura here.
