If you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Trinity River - North Fork, and you acquire a splendid sight of Caesar Peak from here. Salmon River - South Fork is a good whitewater spot in close proximity to Mirror Lake, and Big Flat Campground is a wonderful local campground. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Sapphire       Lake; Mirror Lake sits in the shade of the Coast Ranges. Mirror Lake is a good place of normal precipitation; December is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is July. During the warm days of summer at Mirror Lake highs are mostly in the 80's. Summer night lows fall down to the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's; night lows at Mirror Lake through the wintertime frequently fall into the 20's.
