     Any time is a perfect time at Mirror Lake if you love the outdoors. If you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Trinity River - North Fork, and you acquire a splendid sight of Caesar Peak from here. Salmon River - South Fork is a good whitewater spot in close proximity to Mirror Lake, and Big Flat Campground is a wonderful local campground. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Sapphire  
   Lake; Mirror Lake sits in the shade of the Coast Ranges.
Mirror Lake is a good place of normal precipitation; December is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is July. During the warm days of summer at Mirror Lake highs are mostly in the 80's. Summer night lows fall down to the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's; night lows at Mirror Lake through the wintertime frequently fall into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful.
 
               While staying at Mirror Lake you could always discover Stonehouse Gulch, and don't miss out on a visit to Whiskeytown National Recreation Area since you're here.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Klamath Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. This site, the Klamath Mountains, has so much outdoors enjoyable things. This is a brilliant vicinity for people who like lakes. Kalmia Lake is a lake around here, and if you came for an overnight stay Ripstein Campground is a good spot to camp.
So many entertaining things to do in the Klamath Mountains, not enough time. Don't leave Mirror Lake without first going for a hike along the Tanners Peak Trail, and you can go for a hike on the Deacon Lee Trail.

I WALKED FROM MAIN ROAD TO TRAILHEAD ON 4-22-09. HEAVY SNOW DRIFTS, TRAILHEAD IS UNDER ABOUT 48'' OF FROZEN SNOW. NOT RECOMMENDED TO HIKE ALONE, YOU WILL SINK A DOZEN TIMES OR SO UP TO YOUR WAIST! I CHICKENED OT ABOUT 1/2 WAY UP THE TRAIL I COULDN'T SEE UNDERNEATH THE SNOW AND BOULDERS. I BET THE FISHING IS RIGHT ON!...
