Why not camp at Little Doe Campground while you're here at Minnie Lake, and Beegum Creek has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Hammerhorn Mountain is a peak you can catch a sight of from Minnie Lake, and going for a hike on the French Trail is always a good adventure. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors cool things the Klamath Mountains       has to offer. There are pleasant places to look at along the Soldier Trail, and whitewater paddling is good on Black Butte River. For the duration of the warmest time of the year highs here at Minnie Lake get into the 90's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Minnie Lake. From a rain point of view Minnie Lake is a rather typical place; of all the months in                  a year January is the one with the most rain while July is mostly the driest month. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Kingsley Lake; a tremendous place to camp here at Minnie Lake is Hammerhorn Campground. Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place! The Klamath Mountains is peerless! Go for a hike on the Smoke Howe Trail, and not far from Minnie Lake you'll hit upon Elk Lake which is a gorgeous lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you crave a little side spree, try French Cove, and if you need a spot to stay Super 8 Willits is a wonderful choice.
