This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such serene places, why not stop at Deadhorse Lake near Minaret Lake, and camping is available at Reds Meadow Campground. Minaret Lake is one of the lakes here in the Central Sierra Nevada. On a pretty day you get a panorama of Minarets from Minaret Lake; camping at Minaret Falls Campground       is always a magnificent experience. Minaret Lake truly is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. Dry warm beds await you at Heidelberg Inn, and you can go for a hike on the Mammoth Rock Trail. Get dripping wet paddling on Mono Creek, and perfect hiking is available along the Sherwin Lakes Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the John Muir Trail - section 2 is always a fine adventure; if you like skiing, you're in luck; June Mountain                  is pretty near. So many fun things to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada, too perfect to be true. Whitewater paddling is great on San Joaquin River - Middle Fork, and Mammoth Mountain is a pleasant local ski area. For the period of the warm months here at Minaret Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 90's with overnight lows in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Minaret Lake fall into the 20's. All year is a good time in the Central Sierra Nevada if you go for the outdoors.
