Milton Reservoir is located in the Northern Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Milton Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Wild Plum Campground is a magnificent place for that, and a magnificent place for whitewater paddling is Fordyce Creek. Milton Reservoir is a good site of normal rainfall; January is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is July. This lake is so wonderful.

| | In case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Yuba River - North Fork, and on a pleasant day you can take a hike along the Bowman Mountain Trail. Near Milton Reservoir you discover the Crooked Lakes Trail which is a fine hiking trail, and if you came to camp Haypress Campground is a pleasant spot to do that. close to Milton Reservoir is Bear Valley, and Mud Lake is a great lake close by. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Royal Gorge, and Austin Meadow is a magnificent
place to check out. Man, is there a lot of enjoyable stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. The snow is wonderful at Soda Springs, and if you need a location to stay Chalet View Lodge is a glorious choice. During the months
of summer, highs ordinarily are in the 90's at Milton Reservoir while nighttime lows are regularly in the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are commonly in the 40's; overnight lows through the winter for Milton Reservoir tend to be
