Do stop by Miller Lake while you're in this part of California. If you need a site to stay Pepper Tree Inn is a wonderful choice; American River - South Fork has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot nearby. Buck Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at, and the skiing at Alpine Meadows is great. A common amount of rain falls here at Miller Lake; during the month of January you get the most snow around here, and the driest month is July.

is always a great experience; the General Creek Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Some close by water includes North Miller Creek, and Miller Lake is right by the Highland Trail.
