Camping at Upper Blue Lake Campground is always a great experience, and there are plenty of people from Gardnerville Ranchos here at Meadow Lake. Hit the slopes at Bear Valley close at hand; going for a hike on the Emigrant Trail is always a nice adventure. This lake is so wonderful. If you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Mokelumne River - North Fork, and after a long       day outdoors The Meadow is a pleasant location to spend a night or two. Go for a hike on the Charity Valley Trail, and since you're here, you could also explore beautiful Deadwood Lake. Be careful coming to the Northern Sierra Nevada, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Rice Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at, and a delightful place to camp here at Meadow Lake is Damsite Campground. So many amusing things near Meadow Lake, clearly mind-boggling.                  That right there is a lot of amusing things already but it goes on, the Northern Sierra Nevada has it all. Carson River - East Fork has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot nearby, and tremendous hiking is available along the Burnside Lake Trail. Meadow Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; all through the month of January you get the most snow around here, and the driest month of the year is July. This lake is so wonderful. A splendid nearby hotel is The Mountain Club, and Kirkwood has nice slopes and a friendly staff. Having a great time at Meadow Lake is painless. Snow Canyon is a great place to stop by nearby, and if the weather is delightful, you obtain a tremendous vista of Deadwood Peak from Meadow Lake. Summertime highs at Meadow Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's.
