So much fun stuff in the Northern Sierra Nevada, just remarkable. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Homewood is near McKinney Lake, and General Creek Campground is a fine campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Nothing beats kicking back at Lester Beach; you can stay the night at Meeks Bay Resort & Marina. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things in the Northern Sierra Nevada. While you're       here at McKinney Lake you can take a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 14; Lily Pond is a nearby lake that you could check out. McKinney Lake gets a common amount of rain; January is when you get the most snow here, and the driest month of the year is July. If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors, just come on down to McKinney Lake. Do check out Lily Lake close to McKinney Lake, it's a beautiful lake, and after a long day outdoors Granlibakken                  Lodge and Conference Center is a brilliant place to spend a night or two. McKinney Lake is one of the lakes here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Have a nice hiking adventure along the General Creek Trail, and Calawee Cove Beach is a beach close by that you can stop at. High temperatures at McKinney Lake through the warm days of summer are in the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the winter at McKinney Lake temperatures fall to the 10's. The skiing at Alpine Meadows is great, and American River - South Fork has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful.
