You can run the rapids of Cache Creek right next door to McCreary Lake; McCreary Lake is not the only location close by, Lake Burgundy is a close by lake. This lake is so wonderful. A good close by hotel is Calistoga Ranch. Hidden Valley Lake Campground is a glorious campground nearby, and after a long day outdoors Solage is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two.       From a precipitation point of view McCreary Lake is a reasonably typical spot; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily January, that's the one that rains the most, and July is when it's the driest. For the period of the months of summer at McCreary Lake highs are usually in the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to McCreary Lake. Stay the                  night at Bothe Napa Valley State Park; some nearby water includes Crazy Creek. If you love the outdoors, you'll fancy McCreary Lake. Here at McCreary Lake you can spot Goat Hill, and great hiking is available along the Bald Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
