This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the John Muir Trail - section 2 is pleasant fun; if you come at the right time of year, Tenaya Creek offers some magnificent whitewater. Lakes? Sure, Isberg Lakes is in the neighborhood; soar down the rapids of San Joaquin River - Middle Fork in a kayak. McClure Lake gets a typical amount of rainfall; during January this area sees the most rain while August is commonly the driest month. McClure Lake is one of the lakes

| | here in the Central Sierra Nevada. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors amusing things the area right next door to McClure Lake has to offer. After a long day outdoors Heidelberg Inn is a great place to spend a night or two; there are other places here than McClure Lake, for example Sadler Lake. Rest Trail. You'll need more than a day to discover everything McClure Lake has to offer, you can camp at Clover Meadow Campground. Dry warm beds await you at Mammoth Mountain Inn; McClure Lake is right next door to Isberg Pass which
is certainly worth checking out. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the Central Sierra Nevada has to offer. McClure Lake is a glorious place to visit for more than one day, Granite Creek Campground is a
glorious place to camp nearby, and glorious skiing awaits you at June Mountain. At McClure Lake through the warm days of summer highs are in the 90's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the
50's. Highs throughout the winter are mostly in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at McClure Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the John Muir Trail - section 1 will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and on a gorgeous day you obtain a good panorama of Isberg Peak from McClure Lake.
