McCloud Lake is a nice lake to visit. There's so much to do here at McCloud Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Reds Meadow Campground is a tremendous site for that, and there are some magnificent whitewater spots on Mono Creek. This lake is so wonderful. McCloud Lake is right by the Mammoth Rock Trail, and McCloud Lake is not the only place close by, Sotcher Lake is a close by lake. | | of Mammoth Mountain is just what you need, and one of the dominant marks of the surroundings of McCloud Lake is Crystal Crag.
This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Sherwin Lakes Trail. You'll need more than a day to discover everything McCloud Lake has to offer, you can camp at Cold Water Campground. Falls will fill your soul with splendid feelings. Be careful coming to the Central Sierra Nevada, you might not ever want to go home again. After a long day outdoors Snowbird Condos at Mammoths Canyon Lodge is a good site to spend
a night or two; for you golfers we recommend close by Snowcreek Golf Course.
Man, is there plenty of fun stuff to do in the vicinity of McCloud Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Bigwood, and a pleasant place nearby is Mammoth Pass.
The snow is brilliant at June Mountain; get yourself into a kayak and hit San Joaquin River - Middle Fork. McCloud Lake is located in the Central Sierra Nevada.
You need to pop by The Thumb while you're here at McCloud Lake, and
do set aside some time for Bottomless Pit since you're here at McCloud Lake. That right there is a heap of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the Central Sierra Nevada has it all. A tour to Devils Postpile National Monument
is worthwhile. For the duration of the warmest time of the year highs here at McCloud Lake reach the 90's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's
while the cold winter nights at McCloud Lake are in the 20's.
A normal amount of precipitation falls here at McCloud Lake; most of the rain falls through January, and June is when it's the driest.
