Do stop by Matilija Lake while you're in this part of California. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sierra Madre. Be careful coming to the Sierra Madre, you might not ever wanna go back home again. It's a wonderful idea to stop at Matilija Creek, it's close to Matilija Lake, and Channel Islands National Park is a very magnificent place to go to. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Matilija Lake without first going for a hike along the Ortega

| | Trail, and Matilija Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Ortegea Campground is a splendid local campground.
A splendid location to check out close to Matilija Lake is Cozy Dell Canyon, and wonderful hiking is available along the Pratt Trail. You must without doubt dedicate some time to Berry Flat if you're here at Matilija Lake; you'll stumble on a wonderful lake called Mirror Lake. to be true. Dry warm beds await you at Ojai Rancho Inn; a great site to camp here at Matilija Lake is Middle Matilija Campground.
That right there is a heap of cool things already but it goes on, the Sierra Madre has it all. There
are great places to look at along the Cozy Dell Trail, and golf can be played at Ojai Valley Inn and Spa Golf Course. The annual rain here at Matilija Lake is about average; through the month of February you get the most rain around
here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. After a long day outdoors Emerald Iguana Inn is a great location to spend a night or two.
For the duration of the warm months here at Matilija Lake, high temperatures
usually get into the 70's while nighttime lows are usually in the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 60's; throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Matilija Lake temperatures drop to the 40's. This lake is
so wonderful. Get dripping wet paddling on Sespe Creek; if you're interested in hydro structures, you can take a look at Matilija Dam.
