Man, is there a load of amusing things to do in close proximity to Matelot Reservoir. Matelot Reservoir is great enough to spend more than a day at, Marble Quarry RV Resort is a great local campground; after a long day outdoors Sonora Days Inn is a perfect location to spend a night or two. There are some good whitewater spots on Stanislaus River - Middle Fork; if you need a place to stay Inns Of California Sonora       is a fine choice. This place, the Central Sierra Nevada, has so much outdoors amusing stuff. The top of Bell Hill is easily seen from Matelot Reservoir, and a lake nearby is San Diego Reservoir. Matelot Reservoir gets a typical amount of annual rain; during the month of January you get the most rain around here, and July meanwhile is the driest month. There's so much to do here at Matelot Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, 49er RV Ranch is                  a great place for that, and Matelot Reservoir is not the only spot nearby, O'Neil Reservoir is a nearby lake. Summertime at Matelot Reservoir arrives with high temperatures in the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's; after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Matelot Reservoir dip into the 30's. So much enjoyable stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada, not enough time. If you feel like a little side visit, try Experimental Gulch, and Gold Spring is a pleasant local attraction. Matelot Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the Central Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Matelot Reservoir you'll possibly meet some folks from Phoenix Lake-Cedar Ridge. This lake is so wonderful.
