Martis Creek Lake gets a common amount of yearly rainfall; January is the wettest month with most snow, and the driest month of the year is July. A wonderful site to check out near Martis Creek Lake is Martis Valley; going for a hike on the Mount Rose Trail is always a splendid adventure. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Sierra Nevada. After a long day outdoors 8050 Northstar is a delightful       place to spend a night or two; there is a delightful hiking trail close by called the Mount Rose Trail. So much amusing stuff to do at Martis Creek Lake, so little time. Near Martis Creek Lake you hit upon the Granite Chief Trail which is a delightful hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. A good close by hotel is Northstar-At-Tahoe; a day at Moondunes Beach is time well spent. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Northstar at Tahoe is in close proximity                  to Martis Creek Lake, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Truckee River. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. There are some tremendous whitewater spots on Truckee River, and the scenery at Martis Creek Lake Dam is beautiful. Throughout the summertime here at Martis Creek Lake, high temperatures regularly get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 30's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's while Martis Creek Lake night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 0's. But wait, there's more enjoyable stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. The skiing at Squaw Valley is glorious; swing by East Martis Creek it's a brilliant site to pop by. Just can't get enough of Martis Creek Lake. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Ponderosa Golf Course; Village Green Mobile Home Park is a pleasant campground here.
