    Do stop by Marlahan Pond while you're in this part of California. If you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Yreka is a fine choice; get your heart beating on the magnificent whitewater of Scott River. Why not camp at Oaks Mobile Home and RV Park Campground while you're here at Marlahan Pond, and the top of Chaparral Hill is easily seen from Marlahan Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Indian Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth taking a look at,  
   and why not take a refreshing hike along the Clear Creek Trail.
At Marlahan Pond during the months of summer highs are in the 90's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 40's, and overnight lows through the winter for Marlahan Pond tend to be in the 30's. Marlahan Pond is right by the Pacific Crest Trail - section 18, and you can run the rapids of Klamath River. You can never
 
               get enough of the pleasant skiing at Mt. Ashland.
What a location this is for outdoors people. After a long day outdoors Baymont Inn Yreka is a nice place to spend a night or two, and Oro Fino Pond is a nearby lake that you could explore. This lake is so wonderful. A good spot to camp here at Marlahan Pond is Mountain Village RV Park; you could always explore Scott Valley. Take a hike on the Deacon Lee Trail; a lake close by is Blue Pond.
Marlahan Pond typically gets a good deal of rainfall; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is the month with the least moisture.

If you can ski Mt. Ashland, you can ski anywhere, is a boast locals in southern Oregon have made for 45 years. It is true; Mt. Ashland offers plenty of adventure for both skiers and riders. The ski area is located about a half an hour drive from the charming town of Ashland, home to the world renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival. At 7,500 feet, Mt. Ashland is the highest point in the Siskiyou mountain range. Its north facing slopes collect an average 300 inches of snowfall annually. The ski area offers 23 trails in addition to chute skiing and boarding in its famous bowl. All trails are easily accessed by 4 chairlifts.
