Kirkwood is a very popular ski area around here, and a lake nearby is Lake Lucille. Stay the night at Fortyfive Mile Campground; get drenched paddling on Silver Creek - South Fork. Lake Margery is located in the Northern Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. The top of Cracked Crag is easily observed from Lake Margery; on a beautiful day you can stop by Kiva Beach.       Summer brings highs in the 70's to Lake Margery, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Lake Margery temperatures dip to the 10's. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff at Lake Margery. The Windmiller Trail offers hiking at its best; a splendid place like Desolation Valley here at Lake Margery is too glorious to miss. Put                  some time aside to spend at Glen Alpine Spring if you're here at Lake Margery; paddling on American River - South Fork is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. You completely must fancy the Northern Sierra Nevada. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Lake Margery; General Creek Trail is a splendid local trail, and Lake Margery is not the only location nearby, Lake of the Woods is a nearby lake. Lake Margery is a fine site to visit for more than one day, Sayles Flat Campground is a fine site to camp nearby, and golf can be played at Tahoe Paradise Golf Course. If you want a brilliant time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Lake Margery. If you need a place to stay Pine Cone Acre Motel is a glorious choice; wonderful hiking is available along the Hawley Grade Trail. If you want a nice time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Northern Sierra Nevada. You're sure to encounter some fine folks from Gardnerville Ranchos here, and you can hit the slopes at Sierra at Tahoe in the neighborhood. The yearly rainfall here at Lake Margery is about average; throughout the month of January you get the most snow around here; the driest month of the year is July. This lake is so wonderful.
