If the       weather is pleasant here at Lake Margaret, you can go for a hike along the Hawley Grade Trail; dry warm beds await you at Pine Cone Acre Motel. And if you're still looking for more outdoors enjoyable stuff just keep reading. Kirkwood Creek flows through this neighborhood; hey, Gotta ski right? Sierra at Tahoe is a brilliant site to do that. The slopes of Kirkwood are so inviting nobody can resist; close by you locate the Charity Valley Trail which is a great hiking                  trail. This lake is so wonderful. The Windmiller Trail is a brilliant hiking trail in the neighborhood of Lake Margaret; Kirkwood Meadows is a tremendous spot to check out. The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. And if that's not enough, there's heaps more to do near Lake Margaret. Get your pulse rate up on the tremendous whitewater of American River - South Fork; after a long day outdoors Royal Inn is a great spot to spend a night or two. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Sierra Nevada. Lakes are splendid; Caples Lake is a lake that's right next door to Lake Margaret, and Martin Point is clearly visible from Lake Margaret. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Lake Margaret. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Lake Margaret temperatures drop to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.
