Having a pleasant time in the Northern Sierra Nevada is trouble-free. In the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Mokelumne River - North Fork; the skiing at Kirkwood is nice. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. While you're here at Lake Margaret, you could also stop at delightful Kirkwood Lake; going for       a hike on the Charity Valley Trail is always a magnificent adventure. But wait, there's more entertaining things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. If you came for an overnight stay Caples Lake Campground is a perfect place to camp; lots of folks from Gardnerville Ranchos come here. Lake Margaret sees pretty high levels of precipitation; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow while July is ordinarily the driest month. Caples                  Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at; American River - South Fork is a perfect whitewater spot nearby. The Hawley Grade Trail is a fine hiking trail near Lake Margaret, and if you need a spot to stay Pine Cone Acre Motel is a pleasant choice. If only every location had this much outdoors cool things, what a great planet it would be. Harvest Inn-St Helena, Napa Valley is a tremendous location to get some rest; unsurprisingly Kirkwood Creek flows through this vicinity. This lake is so wonderful. Kirkwood Meadows is right here at Lake Margaret, and from Lake Margaret you acquire a wonderful vista of Martin Point. And if that's not enough, there's a heap more to do near Lake Margaret. Near Lake Margaret you come across the Windmiller Trail which is a good hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Kirwood Campground, and Sierra at Tahoe is a pleasant local ski area. Throughout the days of summer, highs mostly are in the 70's at Lake Margaret while night lows are usually in the 40's.
