Now, you may assume that's lots but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Margaret Lake. The Kings River Trail offers hiking at its best; Super 8 Motel - Bishop is a nice location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. A tour to Bishop Pass is always fun. There's so much to do here at Margaret Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Aspen Meadow Campground is a nice place for that. Margaret       Lake is pretty dry commonly; January is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is June. This lake is so wonderful. Devils Postpile National Monument is a tremendous place in close proximity to Margaret Lake. High temperatures at Margaret Lake all through the days of summer are in the 90's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's, and nighttime lows through                  the winter for Margaret Lake tend to be in the 20's. The Central Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. Now, you may imagine that's loads but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada. A splendid panorama of scenic Chocolate Peak is available from Margaret Lake, and lakes are such serene locations, why not stop at Spearhead Lake. There are other sites here than Margaret Lake, for example Ledge Lake; Margaret Lake is right by the Pacific Crest Trail - section 11. And if that's not sufficient there's loads more cool stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Kings River - Middle Fork, and if you need a site to stay Bishop-Days Inn is a fine choice. There's delightful hiking along the John Muir Trail - Pacific Crest Section.
