Bob D: Mammouth Pool is a place my son and I try to visit every year. Despite the drop in water starting in August, it is still a great fishery. The available camp grounds are well maintained and clean but be advised, some can only take shorter RV's so check out the sites before going. If your 20 plus long w/vehicle, I advise Soda springs. Lots os space and ample area to park where as Sweetwater although I love this site, cannot take the longer units, DRATS! Don't miss out however, this watershed has many things to offer in the summer months when the launch ramp is available. The store does offer fuel but BE ALERT! It aint cheap! Best load up in Northfork or Fresno. As for a final stop, check out the great barkery in Northfork before heading up. You might make a purchase and ask if you can fill up 5 gallons of water from the tap there. It's an artisian well water and soooooo good!
