    If you are in this part of California make sure to pay a visit to Mammoth Lakes. All the outdoors cool things in the Central Sierra Nevada will keep you coming back persistently. Mammoth Rock is an out of the ordinary location to visit while at Mammoth Lakes, and a round of golf at nearby Snowcreek Golf Course is a fine way to kill some time. This lake is so wonderful. Do explore Sotcher Lake in the vicinity of Mammoth Lakes, it's a beautiful lake, and you  
   can have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Sherwin Lakes Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Devils Postpile National Monument is a great national park.
You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Near Mammoth Lakes you hit upon perfect places like Mammoth Pass; you can stay the night at Cold Water Campground. Take a side visit to Cold Water Creek; hey, Gotta ski right? June Mountain is a wonderful place to do that. You simply should like Mammoth
 
               Lakes. If you need a site to stay Juniper Springs Resort is a delightful choice, and the top of Crystal Crag is easily made out from Mammoth Lakes.
Drift down the rapids of San Joaquin River - Middle Fork in a kayak, and going for a hike along the John Muir Trail - section 2 will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. But wait, there's more cool things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. Get soaked paddling on Mono Creek; Bottomless Pit is a gorgeous location any time of year. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Sierra Nevada. After a long day outdoors Bigwood is a brilliant site to spend a night or two. There's so much to do here at Mammoth Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, McGee Creek RV Park and Campground is a magnificent place for that.
From a rainfall point of view Mammoth Lakes is a relatively common place; the month with most of the rain is January; the driest month of the year is June. During the days of summer, highs mostly are in the 90's at Mammoth Lakes, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are regularly in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Mammoth Lakes dip into the 20's. Hiking along the Mammoth Rock Trail is delightful fun, and you'll hit upon a striking lake called McCloud Lake.
The Central Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Twin Falls is an inspiring place to explore while you're here, and the slopes of Mammoth Mountain are so inviting noone can resist.
