Bunchgrass Campground is a delightful campground nearby; going to Lassen Volcanic National Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Bailey Creek Cottages; there's whitewater on Pit River for all you adrenaline rush seekers. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Southern Cascade Range. There are some tremendous       whitewater spots on Pit River; here at Magee Lake you can see Crater Peak. Cypress Campground is a fine local campground, obviously you could also go to Upper Twin Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. Take a hike on the Bunchgrass Trail, and don’t forget to pop by Thousand Lakes Valley while you're here at Magee Lake. Magee Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; through the month of January you get the most snow around here, and July is the month with the                  least moisture. Magee Lake is a beautiful lake in the Southern Cascade Range. Throughout the warm months at Magee Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Magee Lake temperatures dip to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. A lake nearby is Everett Lake, and going for a hike along the Heart Lake Twin Meadows Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. All the outdoors enjoyable stuff in the Southern Cascade Range will keep you coming back again and again.
