Why not stop by Mack Lake if you're passing through these parts. This lake is so wonderful. Mammoth Lakes Travelodge is a great spot to get some rest, and close by Little Lakes Valley is a great location to go. Good hiking is available along the Sherwin Lakes Trail, and not far from Mack Lake you'll stumble on Box Lake which is a picturesque lake. During the long summer days, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Mack Lake, and all through the night it cools down

| | to the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Mack Lake dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights. Mack Lake is pretty waterless mostly; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is June. at the right time of year, San Joaquin River - South Fork offers some fine whitewater. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Mammoth Creek Inn is a good
place to spend a night or two; there are some great whitewater spots on Mono Creek. If only every place had this much outdoors amusing stuff, what a great world it would be. Why not camp at Mosquito Flat Campground since you're here
at Mack Lake, and Mosquito Flat is a delightful place any time of year. A day on the slopes of Mammoth Mountain is just what you need, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Mack Lake; Mammoth Rock Trail is a great local trail.
That right there is heaps of fun things already but it goes on, the Central Sierra Nevada has it all. If time allows, Devils Postpile National Monument is a national park worth going to, and camping at Mack Lake is good fun, Lake Inlet Campground is a good local campground.
